Carbon Trust
We are committed to minimising the effects of our day-to-day operations on the environment. We aim to balance environmental, social and economic concerns in our plans for the future and minimize any negative impact.
Our employees are actively encouraged to adopt a proactive environmental approach and take responsibility for new initiatives. This approach is endorsed by in-house training and open discussion forums in team, company and board meetings.
We actively support the European directive for recycling electrical and electronic equipment, WEE Regulations (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
You can return any electrical equipment bought from us as well as your used projector lamps. We will then dispose of them using suitable contractors who will remove and recycle where possible, waste electrical equipment.
We purchase recycled paper and other products where possible for all office stationary. Our office personnel are discouraged to print from emails.
As far as possible we reuse or recycle office waste, including paper, computer supplies and redundant equipment.
All of used batteries are tested for consumption and re-used if possible. Waste batteries are separated for recycling.
We are currently updating our event lighting stock to include low energy LED lighting.
Throughout our premises where applicable, we use low energy lighting. Everyone is encouraged to switch off appliances and lighting when not in use.
We avoid travelling to meetings etc. where alternatives are available and practical. We have a video conferencing bureau and Skype facilities, the use of these resources are actively encouraged in order to minimise impact on the environment.
We purchase all chemical products such as solvents and cleaners which display environmentally friendly labels such as ‘EU Ecolabel’, ‘FSC’, and ‘Chlorine Free’.
