 Cardiff Hosts Major European Conference on Child Poverty

EuroChild held their latest annual conference in Cardiff. The major conference brought together experts and representatives from across Europe to look at Child Poverty.

So that the audience had maximum benefit from the conference the organisers wanted the presenters to communicate with the audience in a variety of ways. Drake AV helped out with the requirements providing A/V equipment and support for the plenary sessions and workshops. We also set up a number of exhibition stands for a supporting exhibition, this also included setting up two ‘Speakers Corners’, allowing presenters to run short presentations. Each member of the audience was provided with a set of wireless headphones, so that they could wander freely around the exhibition and simultaneously be tuned in to ‘Speakers Corner’.

In a couple of the workshops we provided the European audience with simultaneous translation equipment. The audience could listen to the conference in either English or French via a wireless headset.

Our team of technicians were on hand to support the organisers in every way, including sorting out technical issues with presentations and ensuring the presenters had the right equipment available.
