Ashes Cricket Tournament

The international Ashes cricket tournament was held for the very first time in Cardiff in July 2009.

We were delighted to be involved with this prestigious project. We were appointed by the Glamorgan Cricket Club to provide all of the audio visual equipment for eight areas within the SWALEC Stadium and in the adjacent National Sports Centre for Wales’ site. For six of the hospitality sites we supplied thirty indoor and outdoor plasma screens to make sure no-one ever had to miss as much as a single stroke of play.

At the National Sports Centre for Wales we provided two large 14’ x 10’ screens with bright projection systems. At all of the sites we installed suitable sound reinforcement so that everyone could hear any speeches and playback. We also provided the audio system in the press area for the end of play briefings and interviews.

As well as in high spirits that England went on to win the tournament the Glamorgan Cricket Club were also thrilled that the audio visual systems ran smoothly without a hitch.
